It simplifies data management and protection in hybrid cloud environments.

Tiger Technology is a leading provider of solutions for data management in hybrid cloud environments, helping businesses with mission-critical workflows to manage, protect, and collaborate efficiently on their data in both on-premise and cloud environments.

What is Tiger Bridge?

Tiger Technology’s flagship product is Tiger Bridge. It is a hybrid cloud data management solution that enables data tiering and synchronization between local storage and cloud storage.

Tiger Bridge helps businesses to:

  • Automatically move inactive or less-used data to cheaper cloud storage.
  • Keep frequently accessed data on-site to improve performance.
  • Synchronize data between storage systems for backup or disaster recovery.

It operates in the background, allowing users and applications to continue working as if all data were still local.

By efficiently managing data between on-premise and cloud environments, Tiger Bridge enables businesses to protect mission-critical workflows while leveraging the infinite scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud to:

  • Reduce storage costs by up to 60%.
  • Make data available to global teams.
  • Ensure compliance and business continuity.
  • Serve data to artificial intelligence in the cloud.

How it Works

Tiger Bridge is a software-only solution that integrates seamlessly with Windows servers. It manages file replication, space reclamation, and storage, all while preserving existing workflows and ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery.

  1. Data Replication
Tiger Bridge replicates files from on-premise storage to cloud storage, ensuring secure backups. Replication policies are executed transparently in the background, allowing organizations to work without interruptions. Files are duplicated based on user-defined criteria, such as retention times.
  2. Space Reclamation
Once files are replicated to the cloud, Tiger Bridge replaces local copies with “nearline” stubs. These stubs look like the original files but occupy virtually no space. When a file is needed, it is automatically retrieved from the cloud, reducing local server space load.
  3. Data Archiving
For long-term storage, Tiger Bridge moves files from hot cloud tiers to cold tiers. Files in the archive tier are replaced with “offline” stubs. These files are not immediately accessible but can be manually retrieved and rehydrated when needed. This functionality helps organizations save on costs while maintaining access to critical data.
  4. Disaster Recovery
In the event of a local system failure, Tiger Bridge allows for immediate recovery. All data remains accessible in the cloud, and reinstalling Tiger Bridge on a new server restores access without the need to re-download files.

Why Tiger Bridge?

  1. Storage-agnostic – Allows you to work with any storage provider to access data through various types of storage and all cloud tiers, including archive.
  2. No vendor lock-in – Full data portability with native file formats retained enables the use of heterogeneous data sources, avoids workflow disruptions, and ensures easy interoperability.
  3. Pay-as-you-go model with reserved capacity options helps optimize data processing by improving allocation, organization, and retrieval.
  4. Software-only solution – Enables easy testing, validation, deployment, and removal. Reduces the need for on-premise hardware upgrades and takes advantage of cloud scalability.
